Sponsorship Request Letter:

Dear Sir/Madam:

I am writing to request your participation as a sponsor of our upcoming First Annual Neighborhood Community Block Party Picnic.   COGA Cathedral – Citadel of God Almighty will be hosting this annual event on May 26, 2012 at 442 East 183rd Street, between Park Avenue and Washington Avenue, Bronx, New York.  We would like for your organization  to partner with COGA Cathedral and show your support for our youth and the local community by agreeing to underwrite the program expenses associated with this event – either by donating food, clothing, books and games, or monetary contribution. Your tax-deductible contribution of $500 will go directly to cover the costs of feeding and entertaining the neighborhood community during the event.  In addition to your donation, we welcome you to set-up a complimentary booth space, to share with the community what services or employment your organization can offer.

The Bronx is the MOST NEEDY Borough in New York City. According to City-Data.com, 75% of WOMEN WITH NO HUSBANDS at home are living below poverty level. Bronx ranked below all other Boroughs in New York City when it comes to hunger, unemployment and poverty.  The BRONX NEEDS YOUR HELP.

This celebration is to formerly inform the community that we are there in numbers for their needs.  As Minister-in-Charge of COGA Cathedral, the church and I are working to make a difference in the community.  Our church is still under a State of the Art Project construction cost of $1.5million.  Upon completion, it will not only be a Sanctuary of Worship to meet the spiritual needs of the people, but will also be a solution center offering for example:  Hunger Relief Program – Using Food Bank and Feed the Children, from feeding 19,000 per year to 50,000 per year; Expand COGA Saturday Music Academy (CSMA) from the current 35 students to 150 students; Computerized Library & Home Work Assistance Center for children; Youth Empowerment Program –sponsored by government grants, and much more… That is why your $500 sponsorship is so important. It will help us immensely in meeting this event cause.
